Subnano 0.2.1 — 10 October 2026

The local subnano_context tool now reports the installed version and checks for
newer stable releases. Checks use Subnano's public release manifest, carry no
account credentials and are cached for 24 hours in each running server process.
A timeout, offline connection or invalid manifest reports unavailable without
blocking account context or other tools. There is no background polling or
automatic installation.

Install the appropriate new ZIP, update the client's server path if needed, and
reload the connection. Keep the same state directory (by default
~/.local/state/subnano-mcp). Do not create a new account or delete existing state.
Version 0.2.0 requires this manual upgrade once to gain update discovery.

Requires Node >=24.15.0 <25. Subnano Browse users keep the existing hosted URL;
they do not need the local ZIPs.
